What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. TrendSense uses cookies, localStorage, and similar browser-storage technologies (collectively "cookies" in this policy) for three reasons: keeping you signed in, remembering your preferences, and understanding how the product is used.
Categories we use
Strictly necessary — authentication tokens (Supabase session), CSRF tokens, locale preference. These are required for the product to work; they cannot be disabled from inside the product without effectively signing you out.
Functional — cookie-consent state (your accept/reject choice), theme preference (light/dark), recently-viewed entity ids in some dashboard views. These improve the experience but the product works without them.
Analytics — when enabled by the operator (Vercel Analytics, optional product-event telemetry). We do not run advertising trackers, third-party fingerprinting, or session-replay tools by default.
Your choice
When you first land on the marketing site we show a cookie banner with Accept and Reject options. Reject keeps you on strictly-necessary cookies only. You can clear your choice at any time by clearing your browser localStorage for the TrendSense domain.
How long cookies last
Session cookies (auth, CSRF) clear when you close the browser or sign out. Preference cookies (theme, consent) persist until you clear them.
Third parties
When you connect Shopify, sync Stripe, or trigger our edge functions, those vendors set their own cookies under their own domains. We do not control their cookies. Changes
We will update this page if our cookie usage changes and bump the "last updated" date below. Material changes will also be communicated via in-app banner.
